Mithoon Reunites With Mohit Suri for Ahaan Panday–Aneet Padda’s Next; Begins Work on Film
The reunion of team Saiyaara isn’t just about its lead pair Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, is steadily shaping into one of the most anticipated projects in the romantic genre and it’s not just because of its lead pairing. The film also marks the return of one of Hindi cinema’s most successful creative partnerships, as filmmaker Mohit Suri reunites with long-time collaborator Mithoon.
The composer, who has been instrumental in defining the sonic identity of Suri’s films over the years, has officially come on board the yet-untitled project. Backed by Akshaye Widhani, CEO of Yash Raj Films who also produced Saiyaara the film is currently in its pre-production stage.
According to a source close to the development, Mithoon has already begun work on the soundtrack. “It is going to be an intense love story with YRF, and the music will reflect that emotional depth. There’s also buzz that the team is keen on introducing a new voice with this album,” the source revealed.
The Mohit Suri–Mithoon collaboration dates back over two decades, beginning with Zeher, which featured the iconic track Woh Lamhe. Since then, the duo has consistently delivered chart-topping albums that have defined Bollywood’s romantic soundscape, with films like Murder 2, Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Half Girlfriend, and Malang. With Saiyaara further cementing their legacy as a hit filmmaker-composer duo, expectations from their next are naturally sky-high. “One can expect nothing short of extraordinary from this collaboration, especially after the response to Saiyaara,” the source added.
As the film gears up for production, all eyes will be on how this celebrated duo reinvents the modern Bollywood love album once again.
