Record-Breaking Advance Bookings for Mirzapur: The Movie, ₹20+ Cr. Opening Expected!

One of the most anticipated films in Indian cinema, Excel Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios’ Mirzapur: The Movie is just a few days away from its release and the excitement is indeed at its peak. Marking the much-awaited theatrical transition of India’s biggest OTT franchise, the film will bring the iconic and widely loved world of Mirzapur to the big screen for the first time. Now, the film has started creating records before its release with its strong advance bookings.

Mirzapur: The Movie opened advance bookings on Monday, August 31, 2026, and within a day, it recorded a strong pre-sale by selling 26,398 tickets, as per Sacnilk. The advance gross for the opening day stands at ₹83.67 lakh, and when block seats are included, the figure shoots up to ₹1.9 crore. The film is expected to sell over 1 lakh tickets by Thursday night.

With this, Mirzapur: The Movie has a strong chance of hitting the ₹25 crore mark. A ₹20 crore-plus opening for Mirzapur: The Movie would mean that the big-screen gamble could prove to be a box-office success from day one itself. It will then be interesting to see where the film goes from such a strong start.
