Jio Studios and Sikhya Entertainment’s First Collaboration Marks the Coming Together of Karthik Subbaraj & Maestro Ilaiyaraaja
In a collaboration set to excite audiences across the country, Jio Studios and Academy Award-winning producer Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain’s Sikhya Entertainment have joined forces with acclaimed filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj and legendary music maestro Ilaiyaraaja for an upcoming Tamil feature film.
The project marks the first-ever collaboration between Karthik Subbaraj and Ilaiyaraaja, a significant milestone in both their celebrated careers, while also standing as Karthik Subbaraj’s 10th directorial venture and Ilaiyaraaja’s 1540th film as composer.
The announcement has already generated immense excitement among cinephiles and audiences alike, bringing together some of Indian cinema’s most influential creative voices, anchored by an original musical score from Ilaiyaraaja.
Known for his distinctive storytelling and genre-defining filmmaking, Karthik Subbaraj has built one of the most unique cinematic voices in contemporary Indian cinema. A longtime admirer of Ilaiyaraaja, Subbaraj has often paid tribute to the Maestro and his music through his films, making this first-time collaboration especially meaningful.
